Financial Assistance

Immediate, compassionate support for families confronting sudden crisisbreadwinner loss, medical emergencies, or unexpected fee deadlines that jeopardize school continuation.

Family Supported by Aaghaz Foundation
Rapid Response Urgent Cases Addressed Within 7 Days

A temporary crisis should never end a child's education.

Often, families are doing everything they can to sustain their households, but an unforeseen misfortune strikes. Unpaid tuition fees should not force children out of classrooms into child labor.

Aaghaz provides rapid financial assistance whether one-time emergency fee payments or monthly sustenance allowances keeping children enrolled while their families stabilize.

What We Help With

Imminent Fee Cutoff Deadlines

Immediate intervention when board exam admit cards or annual re-enrollment are withheld due to pending arrears.

Loss of Breadwinner

If the primary earning parent passes away, Aaghaz covers the children's school fees for the full academic year.

Critical Medical Expenses

When unexpected hospital bills exhaust all family savings, we step in to prevent educational disruption.

Stories From Aaghaz

Meet some of the students we have supported and read about the people and work behind Aaghaz.

There was a time when completing my law degree seemed very difficult because I simply did not have the financial means. I received support throughout my five-year course, including a monthly stipend, and even help with medical treatment when I fell ill. I was able to finish my studies and become an advocate. It was a dream I had worked towards for years, and today I am living it.

Becoming a doctor was my dream, but getting through medical college required far more than ambition. I received support throughout my MBBS for college and hostel fees, books and even my monthly expenses. That meant I could concentrate on my studies instead of constantly worrying about how the next fee would be paid. Today, I am a doctor working in paediatric surgery at Medical College Kolkata.

I received the Coding Ninjas course through Aaghaz at a stage when I wanted to improve my coding but did not have access to the kind of training I needed. The course helped me build both my skills and confidence. I recently received a Software Engineer offer of around ₹23 LPA. For me, that offer is much more than a salary package. It shows how far I have been able to come.

Aaghaz helps students from low-income families in India continue their education. We help with school and college fees and other essential educational costs, while also providing mentoring, counselling and educational support.
How do you select students for support? +
Every application goes through a verification process. Our volunteers review the documents provided, visit the student's home and, where necessary, verify information with their school or college. We consider the family's financial circumstances, the student's academic record and other relevant factors before assistance is approved.
Who gets priority? +
We support students whose education is at risk because of financial hardship. Priority is given to those facing particularly difficult circumstances, including orphans, abandoned children, students without parental support and those from families experiencing severe financial hardship. Every case is considered individually.

Depending on the student's needs, assistance may cover school or college fees, books, uniforms, examination fees and other essential education-related costs. Support varies according to each student's circumstances and the funds available.
